Prewn - System (2025) [Hi-Res]

Izzy Hagerup's new album under the moniker Prewn, titled System, is a "private journal made public." The record, created solely during night-time bedroom sessions, is a candid chronicle of a journey through depression, exploring feelings like guilt, shame, and self-absorption. Despite delving into darkness, the album does not surrender to it. Instead, it curiously explores it, finding moments of humor, lightness, and ultimately, a realization of the wonder and appreciation of life. It is a brave and uncompromising work about struggle, pain, and heart, which invites the listener to follow the artist on her deeply personal journey.
