Ona Mae - Cerca del Sur (2025) [Hi-Res]

"Cerca del Sur" is the second album from the ONA MAE project by artist Mariona Villadelprat. The album is a sonic exploration of a symbolic "South" as a source of roots, memory, and warmth. At the core of the album is the sound of the Manding instrument, the kora, around which multiple languages and musical styles are intertwined. Musically, the work combines elements of Afro-jazz, Iberian folk, ritualistic chanting, and subtle electronics, creating a shared space for the listener through six songs and five sound interludes.
