Mondo Freaks - Mondo Freaks (2025) [Hi-Res]

The Melbourne ten-piece collective Mondo Freaks has released its debut self-titled album. The band was founded by bassist Luke Hodgson and drummer Graeme Pogson and performs boogie and funk music inspired by the sound of the late '70s and early '80s. Their work is distinguished by live instrumentation and a strong emphasis on vocals and songwriting. The album was mixed by Grammy award-winner Michael Brauer and features five different vocalists. The group previously gained experience performing as the backing band for legendary American soul artists during their Australian tours.
