A Few We Remember is the debut album from the duo of Finnish composer Lau Nau (Laura Naukkarinen) and American baritone saxophonist Jonah Parzen-Johnson, featuring improvisations based on eight narrative scores composed by Parzen-Johnson. The album is characterized by cycling between ambient moments, whispered melody, and "innocent tinkering."

Parzen-Johnson explains that these "narrative scores" are intended to be triggers for sensations and feelings rather than just sets of facts, as he believes storytelling is a "protective coating" for intimate feelings. He asserts that the music is not about the stories themselves, but about the feeling of telling them. Lau Naukkarinen confirms the album consists of pure first live takes with no overdubs, describing the creative process as a "chemical reaction" that was a surprise to both of them and sparked by Jonah's written stories. The debut single, First Time Viewer, showcases how Jonah's fragile saxophone melody and Lau's processed accompaniment blend into an ethereal lattice that is both delicate and resilient.
