Various Artists - The Chicago Boogie Volume 4: Comin' At Ya' (2025) [Hi-Res]

Following a three-year hiatus, the Chicago labels Star Creature and The Boogie Munsters have released the fourth installment of their highly acclaimed reissue series, "The Chicago Boogie Volume 4: 'Comin' At Ya'." The compilation features four previously rare funk and boogie tracks, officially licensed and sourced directly from the original Chicago artists. All tracks have been remastered and received slight DJ-friendly touch-ups. Side A includes the extremely rare track "Let’s Bounce" by Tiger Jack, which was restored into a fully extended mix, and a "Boogie Slap" from the Magikal label, which songwriter CA Williams stated was originally recorded as a restaurant jingle. Side B opens with the highly demanded Modern Soul track "Hot Shot" by Motherfox, a certified floor-filler, and concludes with the titular tune "Comin’ At Ya’" from the mysterious Pyramid Plus, presented as a vocoded, talkboxed boogie banger.
