This is the official soundtrack for the 2025 biographical crime-comedy film "Roofman", directed by Derek Cianfrance (Blue Valentine, The Place Beyond the Pines). The movie is based on the unbelievable true story of Jeffrey Manchester—an Army veteran who, in the late 90s and early 2000s, robbed fast-food restaurants by cutting holes in their roofs and, after his capture and subsequent escape, lived in hiding inside a Toys “R” Us store. The film stars Channing Tatum and Kirsten Dunst.

Composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist Christopher Bear (of the band Grizzly Bear) created a score that, according to the director, was intended to balance the comic and tragic elements, underscoring Manchester's humanity. Jon Natchez (of The War on Drugs) also contributed, playing the clarinet, bass clarinet, alto saxophone, and flugelhorn. The soundtrack blends orchestral and contemporary elements, creating a complex musical tapestry to explore emotions such as longing, heartache, fear, childlike joy, and burgeoning love.
