"Banjo Dreams" is the third solo instrumental release by Andy Thorn, the renowned banjo player of the band Leftover Salmon. This work moves away from traditional, "hard-driving" bluegrass, focusing instead on softer, "dreamy," and atmospheric instrumental melodies inspired by the mountain nature of Colorado, where the artist resides. The album continues the sonic and conceptual path established by the successful Songs of the Sunrise Fox release, which was inspired by a viral video of Thorn playing banjo for a wild fox at sunrise. The recording features notable musicians, including Erik Deutsch, Tyler Grant, and Greg Garrison.
