Spiritual jazz master Kahil El’Zabar, leading the Ethnic Heritage Ensemble, created new material for the album, along with reimagined classics like Caravan and Summertime. The recording took place over two evenings at the audiophile venue “mu” London, designed for a healing and immersive experience. The Ensemble features Kahil El’Zabar (spiritual jazz shaman), Corey Wilkes (trumpet), Alex Harding (baritone sax), and Ishmael Ali (cello). The album is framed as a recorded ritual and a "journey into the uncontainable force of the human spirit," where improvisation and spirit merge, bridging the gap between artists and the community. The release, available on 2xLP and CD, inspires listeners toward liberation, healing, and shedding restraint to "let the spirit out" and rise to a higher consciousness.
