DJ HIMITSU - Exotic Animals (2025) [Hi-Res]

Tokyo-born, London-based producer DJ Himitsu has released his debut full-length album, "Exotic Animals." In this work, the musician departs from the acid house sound characteristic of his earlier output, shifting toward an experimental approach. The new compositions are founded on rare archival recordings and complex samples, creating the atmosphere of a sonic collage reminiscent of the Kintsugi technique. The album's concept is closely tied to the artist's profession as the owner of the vintage store Caravan: the record is structured like a cabinet of curiosities or a trading post of rarities, where sounds are assembled with the meticulousness of a collector. The release is targeted at an audience that appreciates avant-garde musical forms and Fourth World aesthetics.
