This double CD contains the entire discography of the band born from Joe's (Mauro Ermanno Giovanardi) urge to celebrate his "Carnival of Madmen."

From Roberto Calabrò's introductory notes: "...Mauro Ermanno Giovanardi, known to all as Joe, is a well-known figure in the city. At the beginning of the decade, he founded Unknown Scream, was then the singer and performer of 2+2=5, and later the leader of Superlovers and Sir Chimes & The Lovers, the latter group that would partly lead to the first lineup of Carnival of Fools, a name "stolen" from a line of Witt, a poem by Patti Smith from the 1973 book of the same name.... During their career, Carnival of Fools played with Hugo Race & The True Spirit, toured with their idols Beasts of Bourbon, and, in 1994, were personally invited by Mick Harvey to open for Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds in Milan.
