Un chef-d'orchestre, disparu en 2014, au sommet de son art avec un Orchestre de Cleveland brillant encore des milles feux inculqués pendant près de vingt-cinq ans avec sévérité et opiniâtreté par son ancien directeur George Szell. La rutilante partition de Prokofiev sonne admirablement sous la baguette experte de Lorin Maazel dans une prise de son Decca idéale de Michael Woolcock. Les tempi sont nerveux, les couleurs éclatantes, les cuivres menaçants. Le drame de Shakespeare est là tout entier avec son lyrisme et sa funeste méprise finale.
