"Quintet (Live in Los Angeles)" is a live album by the experimental project Chewing, led by multi-instrumentalist Nik Ewing (known from Local Natives). The recording took place on October 1, 2024, at the Lodge Room in Los Angeles during Chewing's debut live performance. The release consists entirely of the concert's second half, featuring a free improvisation (free jam) with no prior arrangements. The quintet lineup includes prominent figures from the indie scene: Dave Harrington (Darkside), Ryan Hahn (Local Natives), Spencer Zahn, and Griffin Goldsmith (Dawes). The album captures the atmosphere of spontaneous creative interaction between longtime friends and collaborators.
