The percussion trio Hands in Motion, comprising Simon Leleux, Robbe Kieckens, and Falk Schrauwen, creates a unique musical space devoid of genre boundaries. Utilizing a wide range of ethnic instruments—from darbuka and berimbau to udu—the group combines the cultural traditions of Senegal, Eastern Europe, Brazil, and India with academic training. The result of this synthesis is organic and innovative music that blends minimalism, deep textures, and elements of acoustic trance, akin to the styles of Philip Glass and Mammal Hands.
