Teho Teardo - Plays Twin Peaks and Other Infinitives (2025) [Hi-Res]

Composer Teho Teardo introduces a new album inspired by nocturnal field recordings captured in the forests along the Italian-Slovenian border. The musical foundation consists of transcribed bird songs, which the author perceives as perfect harmony, alongside reinterpreted fragments from classical composers such as Bach, Purcell, and Strozzi.

The record opens with "Falling" (from the "Twin Peaks" soundtrack by Lynch and Badalamenti), symbolizing the author's emotional connection to the natural soundscape. Collaborators on the album include pianist Stefano Bollani, as well as vocalists Keeley Forsyth, film director Abel Ferrara, and young Vito Bondanese. The work blends elements of field recordings with modern classical composition.
