Eamon Fogarty presents the album Blue Values, constructed upon the fundamental tension between beauty and destruction, humor and dread. Recorded during the period of uncertainty following the 2016 election, the record is inspired by declassified nuclear test footage and explores the disturbing mundanity of the apocalypse. Musically, the work combines the artist's assured baritone, complex orchestration, and elements of free improvisation.

The recording features drummer Chad Taylor and bassist Devon Hoff, whose performance underscores the contrast between aggression and tenderness. The album references the jazz experiments of Tim Buckley and the spiritual jazz of Alice Coltrane, while instrumentation choices, including the use of clarinets, are inspired by the solo work of Mark Hollis. The record concludes with an emotional interpretation of Chris Bell's "I Am The Cosmos," solidifying Fogarty's role as a guide through the chaos of modernity.
