BSX Digital has released the world premiere of the original soundtrack for the 2006 horror film Black Christmas, composed by Shirley Walker. This work holds particular historical significance as it served as the final original score for a feature film in Walker's career, marking the conclusion of her creative partnership with director Glen Morgan and producer James Wong. Shirley Walker is renowned as a pioneer among female composers in Hollywood, celebrated for her work on the Final Destination franchise and the DC Animated Universe (specifically Batman), as well as her collaborations with Hans Zimmer and Danny Elfman. The release has been digitally mastered by James Nelson and features liner notes by expert Randall Larson.
