Dragon’s Domain Records has released the fifth volume of the Albert Glasser collection, focusing on his collaboration with director Bert I. Gordon. The compilation features expanded soundtracks for the classic B-movie science fiction films The Amazing Colossal Man (1957) and its sequel War of the Colossal Beast (1958). These years marked the peak of Glasser's productivity, during which he scored dozens of films across various genres. In these scores, the composer masterfully combines themes of horror and destruction with lyrical violin solos intended to evoke sympathy for the tragic fate of the mutated protagonist. This edition has been digitally remastered by James Nelson and includes detailed liner notes by expert Randall D. Larson.
