This is the fourth album from The Plastic Pals since the band started 2005. So it marks the 20 years anniversary for the band.
In addition to this digital release, the album is available for pre order of a limited and numbered run of vinyl in deluxe gatefold sleeve. Check it out in the merch section here. It will also be available on CD.
The basic tracks for the album were recorded by Per Ängkvist on 24 track reel to reel at Real Music Studio, Stockholm. Overdubs were made by The Plastic Pals in their rehearsal studio and in various home studios. Overdubs by additional musicians Jonathan Segel (violin and mandolin), Francesco Bonfiglio (keyboards), Chris Cacavas (keyboards), Stiv Cantarelli (backing vocals) and Martin Ek (trumpet) were made in their home studios in Stockholm, Italy and Germany.
Track #7, The Social Loner, is The Plastic Pals´ first ever instrumental song. Jonathan Segel did an amazing job producing and arranging the song from the basic tracks (Hawk on Fender VI, Bengt on bass, Olov on drums and Anders on guitar), and then using keyboards from Chris Cacavas, adding violin himself, as well as samples from BBC Orchestra.
We are very pleased with the 12 songs on this album that we believe is our best album to this date.
