Jose Sanchez, Alberto Garcia - Reflets (2026) [Hi-Res]

The project "Reflets" by José Sanchez and Alberto Garcia explores the genetic link between Baroque music and flamenco, rooted in their shared musical continuum and the use of ostinato. The duo's creative methodology focuses on the interweaving of genres: adapting flamenco vocal parts to Baroque structures and applying flamenco techniques to classical Baroque cycles. Utilizing a diverse instrumental array, including the theorbo and percussion, the musicians create a multilayered atmosphere that oscillates between trance and melancholy. The result is a deconstruction of traditional codes and the emergence of a redefined flamenco that transcends strict stylistic boundaries.
