Garth Erasmus, Broken String Ensemble - All Broken EP (2026)

Garth Erasmus, a South African multimedia artist and activist, integrates Khoisan heritage and the aesthetics of political resistance into his musical output. His 2024 solo debut and the subsequent "All Broken EP" showcase a unique fusion of free jazz, ambient, and drone, performed on custom-built instruments. The compositions draw on South African jazz traditions and indigenous cosmology, combining complex polyrhythms, chamber melancholy, and tributes to avant-garde masters.
