Gladhands - La Di Da (1997)

With their second album, La-Di-Da, the Gladhands move closer to traditional power-pop territory, trading in big production for sweet melodies, Beach Boys harmonies and mildly distorted guitars. The band's songwriters, Jeff Carlson and Doug Edmunds, are pop classicists with a knack for crafting solid hooks, which helps keep La-Di-Da firmly in the power-pop tradition. They have the occasional misstep, but by and large, La-Di-Da is a step forward for the Gladhands and a thoroughly winning record.~La-Di-Da Review by Stephen Thomas Erlewine
