Ghanaian-German artist Marvin Brooks has announced his most expansive album to date, Sweet Redemption, inspired by his travels to Thailand and Jamaica. The record is a synthesis of soul, reggae, and world music, recorded live with a band in Accra to achieve the most organic and honest sound possible. At the core of the project are themes of spiritual liberation, hope, and humility. Shifting from his usual studio-based production to live instrumentation, Brooks creates a deeply personal narrative where reggae influences intertwine with contemporary soul and a philosophy of conscious living.
