Jenks Miller - Spirit Signal (2013)

Jenks Miller, a versatile artist known for Mount Moriah and Horseback, has released his first widely distributed solo LP, Spirit Signal. The album is an experimental project characterized by a rapid creative process, with each track conceived and finished within a single day. The record balances contrasting sonic textures, ranging from airy lyricism to raw, claustrophobic fuzz and organic drones. By blending hypnotic melodies with minimal percussion and expansive textures, the album explores internal landscapes. Miller's guitar work draws inspiration from both folk-rock legends like Neil Young and avant-garde figures such as Keiji Haino, resulting in a unique synthesis of styles.
