Jorge Lopez Ruiz - De prepo (2023)

Imagine that Miles Davis boarded a plane and went to Argentina in between the sessions where the albums In a Silent Way and Bitches Brew were recorded. Composer and bassist Jorge Lopez Ruiz brings this fantasy to life using similar timbres and the highest skill. While it's certainly not as unusual as what Miles was capable of, there's still a certain playfulness to it that was often lacking in the master's fusion music.
