The latest album by Icelandic guitarist Ómar Guðjónsson draws inspiration from his childhood memories in Garðabær. To reflect the fluid and often contradictory nature of memory, the artist utilized a unique recording setup featuring two separate trios performing simultaneously from opposite sides of the room. The resulting sound is a sophisticated blend of folk-jazz characterized by a warm atmosphere and a deliberate pace. The work maintains a generally optimistic tone, successfully balancing upbeat movements with moments of introspective calm.
