Luka Kuplowsky - The Grass Grows, Antonych Grows (2026) [Hi-Res]

Luka Kuplowsky’s latest project, The Grass Grows, Antonych Grows, is a musical adaptation of the surrealist and mystical poetry of Ukrainian modernist Bohdan Ihor Antonych. The work explores themes of natural paganism, cosmic transcendence, and the philosophical quest for eternity, moving beyond national and political boundaries. The album’s sonic palette combines organic instruments with synthetic textures, weaving together elements of jazz, new age, and experimental balladry. Drawing on his Ukrainian heritage and the traditions of Toronto’s experimental scene, Kuplowsky creates a "waking dream" effect where a poetic voice from the past resonates with contemporary soundscapes. The album reinforces the idea that art is capable of transcending temporal and spatial limits, transforming the poetic word into a universal spiritual song.
