The Black Swan Triad - Metamorphosis (2023)

Metamorphosis concludes The Black Swan Triad's trilogy and is reportedly the group's final release. The album consistently develops its central theme of transformation: from ambient folk openings with spectral voices and scraping guitars, through tribal ecstatic percussion, to a sweeping twenty-minute centrepiece. The liner note epigraphs by Dunsany and Machen establish the philosophical foundation of the record — eternal beauty concealed beneath the commonplace, revealed only to those who seek it. A monumental closing movement featuring brass, mixed choirs, and roaring winds makes the prospect of the project's conclusion all the more regrettable.
