Jorge López Ruiz was a living witness to Argentine jazz. From the release of his first LP in 1960 until his death, he continued to create great works that are now almost legendary. This album is a true masterpiece. From the moment you drop the needle, you are enveloped in a completely different atmosphere. Above all, it is the tango-like drumming, the flexible bass chords, and the transition from silence to movement, all executed at a high level. The composition "De La Super Pepa" gradually transitions into psychedelic spiritual jazz from the very beginning. "De Ruminus Y Mucho Mas," "De Mama Candombe" featuring Candombe, which leaves a sophisticated impression while simultaneously creating a sense of mystery, "Del Condor" is a mysterious, spiritual-jazz-like melody with an electronic bass that creates a strange rhythm. There are six tracks in total. I don't want to use the term "lifetime" lightly, but this album is a must.
