VA - Music From Hollywood (1963)

This disc assembles some of the greatest film music of all time in a grand "live" concert setting.
Recorded at the Hollywood Bowl in Sept. 1963, originally aired on CBS TV this cd features great film composers conducting some of their most memorable scores in an open air setting.
The digital remastering is top notch complementing the artistic merit of the performances. Playing this will transport you back to 1963, you will feel the enthusiasm from selection to selection. Executive dir./composer John Green had put together a program that I'm not sure has been attempted since.
This "slice and dice" collection of movie gems is far more entertaining than expected.
