Through the darkness and shadows, rising like a mother fuckin phoenix baby, Southend songwriter and producer Frances Murray has recorded an album of monumental personal importance. Following the success of her punk alias "BLAB" and the unshared difficulties she navigated during this time, Fran is writing with more vulnerability than ever before.

Healing, growing, rising to the challenges of life, trying to make sense of it all and find her place after dark times. Inspired by the raw energy of Third Eye Blind, Alex G and Momma, and the tenderness of Big Thief, Boygenius and American Football "dreamer" takes shape in the shadows before bursting into the light. A record traversing grief, growing and healing, "dreamer" holds the beauty and pain of the world in its palm. Dreams and nightmares. Light and dark. Sun and moon. Hope.

The album was recorded in collaboration with Ted Groves, a fellow Southend singer-songwriter and friend. The pair met whilst working at a local music education provider that Fran had studied at as a teenager. The album was recorded in a beaten up old studio at their old work during downtime when there were no students about. With the help of her friends Dan Young (Looseleaf), Hannah Wengard and James Mannion, they crafted the record over the course of a few weeks in May of 2024, around the time of Fran's 25th birthday. Some of the guitars were even recorded on her actual birthday whilst wearing a party hat.
