Jalyn Records, the Ohio-based label established by Jack Lynch, has resurfaced with digitally remastered CD editions of its 1960s and 1970s bluegrass, country, and gospel archives. A prominent feature of this revival is the work of The Butler Brothers from West Virginia. Comprised of Homer and Jerry Butler, alongside Phil Bunch, Jim Higgins, and Dwayne McCumbers, the ensemble established a reputation for a driving bluegrass sound characterized by sophisticated vocal harmonies and technical proficiency on the banjo, mandolin, and dobro. Their stylistic consistency facilitated a successful career across regional circuits, culminating in their inaugural studio album.
