For Record Store Day 2026, Now-Again Records is issuing the first-ever commercial release of Paul Ngozi’s lost 1978 album, "Gate Crash," previously available only as a test pressing. The release highlights the phenomenon of Zamrock—a unique and entirely independent Zambian musical scene of the 1970s. The music of Ngozi and his contemporaries represented a distinctive synthesis of Afrobeat, psychedelic rock, and traditional melodies, serving as a cultural response to the country's social transformations. This edition is supplemented by archival materials, emphasizing the historical significance of the Ngozi Family as one of the most energetic and original entities in African rock history.
