A selection of tunes from Värmland in Sweden and Tovdal in Norway, played by veterans Mats Edén (fiddles) and Tellef Kvifte (flutes); with creative drums by Knut Kvifte Nesheim.

Mats and Tellef are both pioneers in the development of the contemporary folk scene I Norway and Sweden, and have been active since the 1970s. The Norwegian group Slinkombas where Tellef was a key member, and Swedish Groupa with Mats, were both important sources of inspiration for each other, and for the growing number of folk and traditional groups with fresh takes on playing and arranging traditional music.
Both Mats and Tellef have large repertories of tunes learned from the old masters, and are also composers (as is also Knut) of new tunes, as well as active in a number of other genres. Always searching for new ways of playing and making music, the members of the trio bring with them experiences from many instruments, genres, and projects - as well as a number of more or less credible stories...
