Love You Madly, Hate You Badly is the fourth studio album from Los Angeles-based musician, producer, and performance artist Oliver Tree, released April 24, 2026 via Atlantic Records. The record is the result of two years of work spanning seven continents and 80 countries — from Cape Town and London to San Salvador, China, and Afghanistan — in what Tree himself has called his "most daring musical experiment yet."
Conceptually, the album orbits around polar opposites: love and hate, fame and alienation, chaos and calm. Tree has long been known for his ability to move fluidly between indie pop, hip-hop, alternative rock, and electronic music without settling in any single lane. Love You Madly, Hate You Badly continues that tradition while weaving in global sonic textures and the deeply personal perspective of an artist who built the record on the road. Pre-release singles "Superhero," "Joyride," and "Flowers" showcased a wide dynamic range — from cinematic anthemic rock to genre-fluid pop eclecticism.
Alongside the album, Tree unveiled a series of live concert films shot around the world, including a performance in Antarctica, reinforcing his vision of the record as both a musical statement and a document of the world as he found it.
