"Headkeeper" is the second solo album by British rock musician and guitarist Dave Mason, formerly of the band Traffic, released in February 1972 on Blue Thumb Records. The album features a unique and controversial format: its first half consists of new studio tracks, while the second half consists of live performances. Mason initially planned to release a full-length studio album, but the label assembled the release without his final approval from existing material, leading the musician to publicly criticize the release. The album peaked at number 51 on the Billboard charts.
