Max Werner - Seasons (Remastered) (1981) [Hi-Res]

Iconoclassic Records has released the first-ever CD reissue of "Seasons" (1981), the second solo album by the late Dutch musician Max Werner, former vocalist and drummer of the progressive rock band Kayak. Remastered by Wouter Bessels, the conceptual album centers around the international hit single "Rain In May," whose commercial success reluctantly pushed the spotlight-shunning multi-instrumentalist into the public eye. Despite contemporary critics comparing the track to Phil Collins's "In The Air Tonight," producer Chris Pilgram notes the song was written years prior to Collins's solo debut. Departing from Kayak's complex art rock, "Seasons" delivers a more accessible, commercial sound dominated by big drums, synthesizers, and vocoders, reminiscent of early Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel. The reissue features all 11 original tracks plus the bonus single "Stop And Start."
