Going Somewhere is the sixth studio album by Canadian country rock artist Tim Hicks, released on May 22, 2026 via Open Road Music (distributed by Symphonic Distribution). The record is the result of several years of work and stands as one of the most personal and sonically varied releases of his career — notably, Hicks played piano on the album and recorded it live with his touring band in the studio.
The album is built around Hicks' signature sound: hard-driving country rock with big guitars, strong hooks, and the high-energy feel of a live show. The title track "Going Somewhere," which preceded the album as a single in September 2025 and peaked at #6 on Canadian country radio, sets the tone for the entire record — an anthem of resilience for anyone determined to chase their dreams on their own terms. The album spans a wide emotional range, from summer-leaning tracks "Tequila Gold" and "Chasing the Sun" to harder-edged cuts like "Voodoo On It" and more introspective moments including "Quits" and "I'm Not Ready." The radio single "The Pilot," built around the hook "let love be the pilot," was released alongside the album to target summer airplay and live momentum.
