"Love Letters in the Sand..." is a studio album by British conductor Frank Chacksfield & His Orchestra, released in February 1959 by Decca Records (in the UK) and London Records (in the US). The album is a classic example of the easy listening style and traditional pop orchestra of the late 1950s.
The title track, "Love Letters in the Sand," was originally written in 1931 but achieved enormous worldwide popularity shortly before the album's release thanks to Pat Boone's version (1957). Chacksfield reimagined this song and other American and European melodies, using his signature soaring strings and soft brass arrangements, ideal for radio broadcasts and home entertainment of the era.
