“…the heart wants what it wants.” The longing for those rare moments of musical magic turned out to be too strong. I, Charles Croes, initially planned to dive into the recording process and spend time tinkering with technology and songs. Maybe, as an addition, I would occasionally take on a small, casual musical project or something similar.

However, I gradually began to realize that the true magical moments in music are found with a live band on stage—preferably performing original songs. Connecting with your fellow musicians and communicating through music is a constant exchange of energy. It’s very vulnerable and delicate, but also the ultimate form of expression and challenge.

It took a few years before this realization truly sank in. Or rather, I already knew it, but I also understood how much effort it takes to get a band so well-rehearsed that you can truly capture that magic.

The musicians for a new band more or less came my way naturally—I didn’t even have to look for them. Musicians who seem to appear by chance are often the best ones, believe me.
