Music label Dragon’s Domain Records is releasing the world premiere soundtrack of Gerald Fried's score for Robert Aldrich's 1968 drama film "The Killing of Sister George." Based on Frank Marcus's play, the film follows the turbulent life of June Buckridge, an alcoholic and controversial actress whose BBC radio career and personal relationship with a younger woman unravel when her character faces being killed off. For composer Gerald Fried—a close friend of Stanley Kubrick and the talent behind iconic TV scores like "Star Trek" and "Roots"—this film marked his first collaboration with Aldrich. Mastered at Digital Outland, this premiere release serves to honor the legacy of the prominent composer, who passed away in 2023.
