Johnny Rivera - Y Ahora De Verdad (1990)

Johnny Rivera's solo debut album wasn't as well known as his later efforts; this was one of the earliest RMM productions that was illustrative of the label's productivity. The singer's sensitive approach to romantic material would be a winning card for the rest of his career with the mainstream salsa record company. "Necesito una Amiga," "Como Fui a Enamorarme de Ti," "Como Si No Me Conocieras," and "Me Acordaré de Tí" are the highlights.~Review by José A. Estévez, Jr.
