Yazz Ahmed - Shinrin-Yoku (2026) [Hi-Res]

British-Bahraini trumpeter and composer Yazz Ahmed is releasing her nature-inspired EP Shinrin-Yoku, recorded remotely in 2020 alongside collaborators from Denmark and the UK. Created in response to global conflicts and distress, the project aims to offer listeners inner peace and foster a reconnection with the natural world. The leading track, Dawn Patrol, was commissioned by Adult Swim and metaphorically depicts an early morning surfing session and underwater exploration. This release follows her acclaimed fourth studio album, A Paradise in the Hold, which deeply explores her dual heritage through Bahraini wedding poetry, pearl-diver songs, and a decade-long journey of self-discovery.
