"Viaggio" is the debut solo studio album by Italian musician Claudio Rocchi, released in 1970 on Ariston Records. After leaving the progressive rock band Stormy Six, Rocchi recorded a deeply personal, primarily acoustic album. The album's musical concept straddles the intersection of psychedelic folk (Acid Folk), minimalism, and early Italian progressive rock (RPI). In 1971, the album won the prestigious Italian Critics' Prize (Premio della Critica Discografica).
The album features melancholic acoustic guitar strummings, flute parts by Mauro Pagani (future member of the legendary band PFM), and liberal use of reverb, feedback, and early sonic experimentation. The lyrics are imbued with Eastern mysticism, spiritual quests, pacifism, and the atmosphere of early 1970s hippie culture.
In addition to Rocky and Pagani, the recording featured vocalists Roberta Rossi and Annie Lerner.
