African American singer Ruby Winters began her musical journey in a church choir and turned professional at the age of 16. Her breakthrough arrived in 1966 upon signing with Diamond Records, where her debut single became a radio hit, and a subsequent duet with Johnny Thunder entered the Billboard R&B Top 20. In the 1970s, she achieved unexpected acclaim on the UK Northern Soul scene. This exclusive vinyl compilation captures the peak of Winters' career with Diamond Records, featuring her finest works produced in collaboration with prominent industry figures Buddy Killen and George Kerr.
