Cloud Machines is the result of twelve years of collaboration between M.C. Schmidt (Matmos) and John Berndt (High Zero). The album is inspired by the aesthetics of Moebius's comics and the ambient experiments of the Cluster and Brian Eno era, reinterpreting them through a contemporary experimental lens. The work is a series of detailed electronic soundscapes characterized by architectural complexity and surprising accessibility.
