On June 12, 2026, Josh Klinghoffer released A Drop in the Ocean, the fourth solo album under his Pluralone project. Recorded at California studios with producer Eric Palmquist, the record marks the multi-instrumentalist's return to a minimalist acoustic foundation following a four-year hiatus. The central themes of the album are loss, the fleeting nature of time, and self-reflection, all expressed through an intimate sonic landscape, non-standard guitar tunings, and the inclusion of raw voice memos. The Pluralone project continues to serve as Klinghoffer's personal creative sanctuary between high-profile tours with Pearl Jam, Jane’s Addiction, and other major artists.
