In 1988, Álex & Christina released their first album, preceded by a successful single ("Mil Cambios de Color"), which included "¡Chas! y aparezco a tu lado," a song that became one of the biggest hits of the era and is arguably the group's most emblematic track. Their pop sound, combined with the group's original image, propelled them to prominence and a short but highly successful career, which led to Christina Rosenvinge's solo albums, characterized by a much more rock-oriented style.
