Berlin-based artist Der Assistent has released his third solo album, 'Ultramarin,' which also marks the launch of his new record label. The record is an eclectic blend of lo-fi pop, Balearic rhythms, yacht rock, and downbeat, incorporating elements of dub-reggae and nocturnal jazz. The album's sound palette is dominated by late-80s digital pianos and synthesizers, complemented by delicate saxophone lines. Conceptually, the album is structured around a surreal narrative of split personalities, rich with references to classic cinema and art philosophy.
