Kronos Quartet - Nicole Lizée: ZonelyHearts (2026) [hi-Res]

Nicole Lizée, with the outer reaches of imagination and elegance, stretches Kronos Quartet and our music into new shapes, sizes and worlds of sound. She delights in making fun, obsessive, twisted, colorful music that gives each of us roles we have never encountered before. She has added immeasurably to the texture of our concerts and to what it means to be a performer. I love the feeling in Kronos every time we get to rehearse or perform Nicole’s music. There is a delighted energy that takes over the room as we all learn new things.
Here we have our first collection of Lizée works spanning 16 years of friendship and collaboration. ZonelyHearts feels like we are giving a glimpse into the inner workings of Kronos through a fearless creative mind. We all look forward to what is ahead as we chart future sonic adventures through this beautiful, singular, personal, musical relationship we get to share with Nicole Lizée.
