"Just The Beginning" is the only album by the British underground band Baby Bertha, recorded in January 1972 at SRT Studios in Luton and becoming one of the most sought-after and prized finds among collectors of rare English rock.

The original pressing of the 1972 record was limited to only 50 copies, making the original worth over £3,000 at auction. In June 2026, this rarity was officially reissued on CD and vinyl (by the Good Time label in collaboration with the Seelie Court archival project).

Throughout 1972, they toured extensively from Hastings to Southampton, earning a reputation as an incredibly loud and energetic live band. The album "Just The Beginning" was essentially a demo recording of their own material, interspersed with heavy covers (such as Peter Domino's classic "Blueberry Hill" or Peter Green's early Fleetwood Mac "Looking for Somebody").

The music on the record lacks any studio polish—it's pure, live energy, recorded in practically a single take. Soon after this release, the band transformed into the cult heavy psychedelic project Charge, which released another extremely rare album (99 copies) in 1973 before finally disbanding following the tragic death of their drummer.
